Dr. Hiroyasu Kamiyama is well known as the pioneer of cerebral bypass surgery. With over forty years of experience in cerebrovascular surgery, Dr. Kamiyama is considered an expert in aneurysm clipping and cerebrovascular reconstruction. In April 2012 the KAMIYAMA School of Neurosurgery, Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Surgery was established at Teishinkai Hospital located in Sapporo, Japan. Dr. Kamiyama now enthusiastically dedicates his time and vast experience as he trains future neurosurgeons who will succeed him.
The Kamiyama series of instruments were developed based upon his experiences.
